As we officially start Holiday season I take some time to look into my own life. I appreciate all the good things that have come to my family this year, but also the bad things. The years go by in the blink of an eye— no pun intended— specially since Theo was born, and this is the first time in years where we will be staying at the same city for two consecutive years. It's true that family is where your heart is, but what if you're like us and live at a different place every year (sometimes two places in a year) and meet so many different amazing people and just when you're ready to settle it's time to move on? You simply leave little pieces of your heart where you go and that can be really hard at times.
With time, I've learned to crave a little more stability and not having it gives me lots of anxiety. But really this is the life we have and I although hard at times, I truly appreciate it. There's a lesson to be learned in everything that we go through and it's important to be able to learn from our mistakes and lessons.
This year, I'm counting my blessings as I have a healthy son and husband, our work and blog, and my incredible family and friends among thousands of other reasons to feel truly grateful this season.
I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving this year. xxx Yandra
